Hello friends –

Some of you received advanced awareness of this FEMA Emergency Preparedness training that is being co-hosted by Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) at the April 2014 POS providers meeting. At that time, AAANM did not have details. However, OSA and FEMA have nailed those down and I wanted to provide you the opportunity to consider attendance, as you are interested and able.

There are two sessions being offered in Traverse City:

1. 8a-noon is for “Community Leaders”

2. 1-5p is for “Senior Caregivers“

The attached flyers do not indicate the fee…which is FREE J

There is a limit of 35 attendees per session, so if this is important to you and/or your staff, please register sooner than later.

I have followed the registration instructions provided here and on the next e-mail and was able to register quite quickly. There is a pre-test, which takes a few moments, so plan about 15 minutes to register/test and you should be in good shape!

Please know that AAANM will be handling invitations and local promotions, so it will probably be best if you do NOT forward this communication. However, if there is someone whom you think should DEFINITELY be made aware of this training, please REPLY TO ME and I’ll get the info to them.

Should you have questions about this opportunity other than those addressed on the flyers or website, please do not hesitate to contact me.
